EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ROSE QUARTZ

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ROSE QUARTZ

THE HISTORY BEHIND ROSE QUARTZ STONE

Rose Quartz, aka “stone of love” and main stone of the heart chakra, dates back thousands of years. Believed to possess powerful qualities of love and healing in numerous cultures around the world and still practiced to this very day.

AS FAR BACK AS 7,000 BC...

Ancient Egyptians held the rose quartz stone in high regard, believing it to prevent aging and preserve beauty. As the goddess of life and fertility, Isis is said to have rubbed the pink stone on her forehead, eyes and cheeks in order to maintain her youthful beauty and ward off wrinkles. This Egyptian practice is still carried out in today’s world.

THE GODS & THE LEGENDS...

Roman and Greek mythology tells a story of Eros, god of love, rumored son of Aphrodite (the goddess of love) and more famously known as Cupid

As the story goes, Eros brought the beautiful pink hued gemstone down from the heavens to spread loving energy, desire and romance to the  world.

     And of course....

Rose quartz is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine practices, being said to have positive effects on the heart, stimulating blood flow and circulation. Also said to be an anti-inflammatory, they believe it to cure respiratory diseases and infections.

ROSE QUARTZ IN TODAY'S WORLD

Not much has changed in the perception of rose quartz today. While it is still used for spiritual reasons such as emotional healing, opening the heart and allowing love to flow, it is also used for daily beauty regimens such as depuffing and boosting circulation, as it was for our great great great ancestors... Hey, if it ain't broken don't fix it!

Rose Quartz Facial Roller and Gua Sha

 BENEFITS OF ROSE QUARTZ ROLLERS

& GUA SHAS:

  • Lymphatic Drainage. If you're feeling extra puffy or inflamed it could be due to a buildup of fluid. The facial roller and Gua Sha are designed to stimulate lymphatic drainage. This reduces the appearance of puffy skin.

  • Contour & Sculpt. With the correct motions and added pressure, it boosts circulation in your face which in turn aids in the production of collagen and improves elasticity in the skin.

  • Relieve Tension. Whether you are dealing with a tension headache, neck or back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, tight muscles or tension in the jaw, adding pressure to these pain points, specifically with the Gua Sha, can help alleviate these symptoms.

  • Improve Blood Circulation. Massaging the skin with the facial roller or Gua Sha helps to promote blood circulation and aids in cell regeneration which leaves you with a healthy glow and improved skin tissues.

  • Product Stimulation. Applying pressure to the face with the roller or Gua Sha after applying your skincare products allows for better absorption.

There are other noted benefits to using rose quartz facial rollers and gua shas such as soothing the skin due to its naturally cooling properties. There have also been studies to show that it can even help alleviate anxiety and fatigue. Some acupuncturists use these tools in their practice, as well as masseuses.
